From The Valley, To The Mountains: The Jetour T2 i-DM

In a field dominated by rugger Land Cruisers and Land Rovers, take to the mountains in something…a little more sophisticated, like a homologation of James Bond and Indiana Jones. Just by the sheer looks of it, you know it's no sheep, it’s a class-A wolf in wolf’s clothing. And it won’t kill your neighbour’s dandelions either, because under its rugged exterior, is a sleek, green energy hybrid 1.5L engine, pushing 360 horses and a whopping 610 Nm of torque. Now that’s enough to push you on top of any mountain, and pull your buddy’s Corolla out of the water.

The T2, which also happens to be the name of one of my favourite movies, comes with 6 airbags, in case you ever find yourself falling off a cliff, or at least running into a tree, and even if you do manage to crash, you’ll have the impeccable, ear massaging sound of 12 SONY speakers immersing you. A 50W charger for your non-PTA phone, and lush, comfortable suede seats.

So all in all, your next trip to Deosai should be a good one, and you’ll be able to enjoy the ride just as much as the destination. And where the T2 i-DM lacks in colours, it makes up in material, because where you only get silver, white and black for your exterior, you’re met with an 80% high strength steel construction that won’t start creaking on the first pothole.

So who is this car for? What’s Jetour aiming at? I personally think Jetour is making what no other car manufacturer in Pakistan is: A car built for the free of heart. A car for seekers of thrill and adventure. An SUV  that can give you a wild ride and still give you the same economy as a 1 litre hatchback. For there comes a day when you’ve got a meeting at 9, but want a view of the mountains by 4, snowcapped and wondrous. That’s where the T2 i-DM meets all your needs. Park it on a cliff, or outside your office, it’ll always look like it belongs.
